We use the word maintenance as a cover-all. It’s not easy to say maintenance and hosting and security and speed optimization and updates and content changes and bug fixes and regular updates. This guide is not intended to be a how-to guide for using WordPress. There are tons of existing resources for that, list them. It’s not for programming-related tasks either such as building a new website or adding custom features to an existing one. What it does cover is everything you should be doing, or having someone do, to optimize your site and keep it running fast, safe and secure.
